Kimberly and Regis were married on a beautiful, autumn day with peak foliage in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A slight drizzle in the morning cleared up to allow a perfect sunrise over the mountains during their outdoor ceremony, and the cool autumn air allowed for open doors and a sweet breeze during the candlelit reception.
This couple knew they couldn’t wait to get married – despite all that roadblocks that 2020 set in front of them. We planned their Pippin Hill Farm wedding in 4 months, taking restrictions, safety measures, and lower guest counts in stride, with the ultimate goal of a fun, relaxing, and safe celebration of their love in October.
Regis and Kimberly had a sweet, tear-filled ceremony with unique vows written by each other. What followed was a luxurious outdoor cocktail hour with ample food options – the bride’s New Jersey family put a great menu as a high priority for the day! Afterwards, family and friends relaxed at socially distant tables where they were seated only with their pod, and enjoyed the evening of celebration.

My (now) husband and I decided to do the nearly impossible, and 1. get married during a global pandemic and 2. plan a wedding in 4 months. We knew the very first thing we had to do after signing the venue contract was to book our wedding planner. I know everyone says this, but weddings are EXPENSIVE! I’m talking arm and a leg expensive. Because my husband and I decided to get married at our dream venue we knew we had to do our research and pick affordable, high quality, vendors. The first thing Mary and I did was go over the type of wedding planning I wanted. Because I’m a control freak, I knew I wanted to be heavily involved in the planning process. We worked together to build a custom package that was affordable yet comprehensive. That being said, I really needed Mary’s guidance, experience, and resources that would allow me to plan a wedding in four months. She kept me on schedule, she made recommendations for every single vendor that were within my budget without compromising my vision, and had immense patience and professionalism when I didn’t answer an email right away or when my father butted in on the wedding planning process. The dynamic we had worked. I know Mary did a lot of behind the scenes work that I never saw. For example, she emailed all my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. That was an added layer of care and professionalism that smoothed over any anxiety I had about whether I forgot a last minute detail here or there.
I was very grateful for all of Mary’s hard work and guidance leading up to the big day, but I was even more grateful to have her there with me at the venue. She was so incredibly organized. She had our wedding timeline, contact info for all our vendors so they adhered to the timeline, and repeatedly made herself available to me incase I needed anything. I would absolutely recommend Mary Elizabeth to anyone, regardless of what type of wedding they had in mind because of her professionalism, amble resources, confidence, experience, and hard working attitude. She is a top tier planner hidden within the diverse cache of wedding vendors burrowed in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Any couple would be lucky and happy if they chose to work with her.
