Allison and PJ met at the University of Virginia, and knew they wanted to bring their families to gather in the place they fell in love. Pippin Hill Farm provided the perfect backdrop to their wedding day; a luxurious wedding venue just outside of Charlottesville with unmatched Blue Ridge Mountain views and phenomenal cuisine.
On their first date, they chatted so long the downtown Charlottesville restaurant had to kick them out. After graduating from UVA, they moved to DC together, where PJ proposed on a river boat named Miss Guided on a September evening. After a long engagement to wait out the pandemic, these two gathered in Charlottesville with their family and friends on a lovely May evening.
Allison’s vision for the wedding included pops of spring colors, including pinks and lavender tones. Their celebration was full of Jewish wedding traditions that made the ceremony so meaningful and included both of their parents under the chuppah with them as they said their vows. In addition to these intimate cultural moments, the couple knew they wanted to provide a true celebration for their 190 guests, and everyone danced the night away on the packed dance floor.
Allison & PJ were featured in both Carats and Cake as well as the New York Times! The NYT article ended with a quote from Allison:
“The bride had one word to describe the day: “perfect.”
“Before your wedding day, everybody prepares you for how to react if something goes wrong,” Ms. Strickman said. “But no one prepares you for how you’ll feel when everything goes right.”
